I had a bittersweet experience at Ganga Kutir in Raichak. The infinity pool was stunning, and the spa was definitely a highlight, but I hit a few snags with the dining and room conditions. The food was decent but repetitive, and I had issues with a leaking roof in my parents' room, which really took away from the stay.

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in, a Sundarwasala Duplex pool villa, was spacious but in need of some upkeep. The sofa had stains, and I was bummed that the view I was hoping for was blocked by trees.
Service
7.0
The service at Sonar Tori was friendly and the manager was really cooperative, which made some of the experience better.
Location
7.0
The location by the Ganges is really nice for a short getaway, but the hotel could use a bit more to really keep you entertained for longer than a couple of days.
Dining
6.0
The dining experience could be improved; the buffet felt rushed and the same options were served every day, which got old pretty quickly.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities like the infinity pool were great, but the room service could use a little boost to match the ambience.

My stay at Ganga Kutir was a mixed bag. While I enjoyed the serene infinity pool and the calming spa, the overall experience was hindered by maintenance issues and subpar dining options. The location was lovely, but it felt a bit dated and in need of some care. 🌴

Rooms
5.0
The room I stayed in had cleanliness issues, including 3-4 lizards and stains on the sofa. The view I anticipated was blocked by trees, which was disappointing.
Service
6.0
While the staff was friendly and courteous, they seemed to lack training in customer service, which impacted my overall experience.
Location
7.0
The location attracted me, but it only serves well for a short stay of 2-3 days if you're looking to get away from it all. It's beautiful, yet the hotel could offer so much more.
Dining
6.0
Dining was satisfactory but not really good. I enjoyed the Bengali thali at Sonar Tori, but choices felt repetitive and lacked variety.
Facilities
6.0
The infinity pool and spa services were highlights, but overall facilities felt outdated and could use some improvement.

During my stay at Ganga Kutir, I appreciated the spa and the inviting infinity pool; however, the dining options became repetitive and the service could use some improvement. The view I expected was obscured by trees, and the room maintenance left much to be desired.

Rooms
6.0
The room had a rustic look but felt incomplete and rather gloomy. It definitely needs a facelift and better maintenance.
Service
5.0
While the staff was friendly and cooperative, they need more training to enhance customer experience. I found it challenging to get responses when attempting to reach out before my visit.
Location
7.0
The location is by the Ganges, which offers a lovely setting, but the surrounding view includes some areas that detract from the overall beauty.
Dining
6.0
The food was good but repetitive with the same choices daily. The Bengali thali was tasty, but more variety could enhance the dining experience.
Facilities

I truly enjoyed the spa and infinity pool, which were highlights of my stay. However, other facilities need attention to feel more modern.

I had a mixed experience during my stay at Ganga Kutir. While I thoroughly enjoyed the spa and the serene infinity pool, several aspects like the dining and room maintenance left much to be desired. The view from my premium room was blocked by trees, which was disappointing, and the food was not up to standard.

I had a mixed experience at Ganga Kutir. The infinity pool and spa were highlights of my stay, but the dining options were quite underwhelming. The rooms, while luxurious, were in need of better maintenance, and I faced issues with both the geyser and TV during my stay. Overall, it was suitable for a short visit, yet it lacked the charm and quality I expected. 🏊‍♂️🌿

Rooms
6.0
The room I stayed in was quite lovely, though it definitely needed better maintenance. I had problems with the geyser and TV, which detracted from my experience overall. It also felt a bit gloomy due to the lack of adequate lighting.
Service
5.0
I found the staff to be cooperative, but they could use better training. There were instances when I felt that they weren't handling customer requests as happily as they should have, and it affected my overall experience.
Location
7.0
The location was excellent, situated right beside the Ganges, which is stunning. However, the access to the hotel was a bit off-putting as it felt somewhat like a building in a slum area. It was good for a short stay, but there's room for improvement in overall accessibility.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were rather unsatisfactory; the food was decent but not really good. I was expecting more variety, as the same dishes were served daily. It seems they might be in a rush to close the buffet, too.
Facilities
7.0
The facilities like the infinity pool were wonderful and relaxing, but the room service needed improvement as well. The ambiance might have been enhanced with better lighting throughout the hotel.
